BlazeAid has been chosen as this year's Australian Sheep and Wool Show fleece competition charity. The volunteer organisation works with farmers and families in rural Australia to rebuild livestock fences that have been destroyed by natural disasters such as fires and floods.

Entries are currently being sought for the 13th Australian Fleece Competition, a feature event at this year's Australian Sheep and Wool Show to be held in Bendigo, Victoria from 16 - 21 July 2013. Typically over 400 fleeces are entered in this national competition making it the largest fleece competition in the world.
The Spring 2012 weather was favourable this haymaking season and as a result the quality of hay has generally been excellent with early cutting and short curing times. However dry conditions since December 2012 have lowered the quality of late cut hay.
